XML

Stands for eXtensible Markup Language. XML is an open, text-based standard, useful for structuring many different kinds of data into documents. XML contains both the data, as text, and the description of the data via user-defined "tags". The tags imply a tree structure upon an XML document. In the CPS, the XML file format is used to Import / Export - codeplug files for use in other applications, as well as to store Custom View Configuration Mode files.
